the privacy of your financial information is important to you. We want
you to understand what information we collect and how we use it. This
privacy notice describes our practices for safeguarding your personal
information and our commitment to protecting your privacy. In the paragraphs

how and why that information may be shared with others. The following
policy serves as a standard for all Heartland Business Bank employees

- Application, account, or enrollment process;

we obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service
to you. For example, nonpublic personal information includes data regarding
your account balance, payment history, and overdraft history.

A. Information Sharing for Joint Marketing Purposes For products that you purchase, we may disclose all of the information we collect, as described
above to companies that perform marketing services on our
behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint
marketing agreements. You may not opt out of this type of
information sharing.
B. With our affiliates:
We are permitted under law to share information about our experiences
or transactions with you or your account (such as your account balance
and your payment history with us) with companies related to us by common
control or ownership (affiliates). We may also share additional information
about you or your account (such as information we receive from you in
applications and information from credit reporting agencies) with our
affiliates. We use and share information among affiliated banks and
companies for a variety of purposes, among them:
- To offer new products and services that may be of interest to you;
- To assist us in providing account maintenance and more efficient
service;
- To provide extra levels of protection against access to your accounts;
and
- To help us design and improve products.
You may direct us not to disclose to our affiliates information that
does not relate solely to our experiences or transactions with you or
your account (such as the application information and credit bureau
information) by notifying us as described below.
C. With Third Parties
We only share information with third parties (non-affiliated banks and
companies) for specific reasons. We may disclose the information we
collect about you to third parties that assist us in servicing your
loan or account with us, for example, check printers or technology providers.
We may also share information with financial services companies such
as insurance companies that offer products that are different from those
we provide. In these cases we require that this information not be used
for any other purposes. If you desire to opt out of this type of sharing,
please notify us as described below.
We may disclose the information we collect about you in response to
a subpoena, to prevent fraud, to comply with an inquiry by a government
agency or other regulator, or as necessary for other legal purposes.
We do not share information with third parties for the purpose of marketing
non-financial products or services unless you have been given the opportunity
in advance to decline.

V. How to Notify Us
If you would like to communicate to us your decision regarding your
account information, please call us at 1-800-793-6001. If previously
you indicated an opt-out choice to us, you do not have to provide it
again. If you have a joint account, each account holder may make a separate
choice, but any account holder can opt out on behalf of the other joint
account holder.
