Franchising accounts for more than one third of all retail sales in the United States. Successful franchisors grow rapidly through franchising. Several studies over the past five years have highlighted the fact that surviving franchise systems required a higher level of initial investment for franchisees, yet, only 32% of franchises offer some type of franchisor sponsored financing, and only 10% offer third party sponsored financing.
